Tadau Keaamatan (Harvest Festival) - Sabah
Tadau Kaamatan or Harvest Festival celebrations is a public holiday unique to Sabahand One of the main and permanent fixture of the annual Sabah Fest. The most easily-recognizable features of this celebration is the general merry-making, cultural performances, traditional sports, and of course, the Unduk Ngadau ( Harvest Festival Queen ) pageant.
The Kadazandusun communities will gather for a thanksgiving celebration for a bountiful harvest. The festival is observed at district level before concluding at the State Level in Penampang. It is also the time the Harvest Queen or Unduk Ngadau is selected.
